Preventing Child Maltreatment in High Risk Latino Communities: Model Adaptation, Implementation and Lessons Learned

The presentation will provide an overview of SafeCare, a child abuse prevention model, and the adaptation of the model for a Latino population. Results from a feasibility trial of the adaptation will be presented focusing on both quantitative and qualitative data. There will also be a discussion on the lessons learned through the cultural adaptation and implementation of the SafeCare model for Latino communities.
