Dr. Ibis Carrión-González is the Director of the Caribbean Basin & Hispanic Addiction Technology Transfer Center (ATTC), component of the Institute of Research, Education and Services on Addiction housed at the Universidad Central del Caribe, School of Medicine, in Bayamón, Puerto Rico. Dr. Carrión-González has a doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from the Universidad Carlos Albizu in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She is a licensed psychologist in Puerto Rico and is member of the American Psychologist Association and the National Health Science Network. Dr. Carrión-González has over 15 years of experience in the substance abuse field. Currently, she is the Principal Investigator of the National Institute on Drug Abuse/National Institutes of Health (NIDA/NIH) Grant: , Health Consequences of Traumatic Events and Coping Strategies among Hispanic Drug Using Women in Puerto Rico.
