Free the Limitations Created from Identity, Projection and Pride Through Drumming

Empowering Latino Therapists with Drumming & Rhythm will create greater possibilities in awareness in therapeutic training for adults and older adults. The workshop is 2 two hours and is an experiential workshop. Drums will be provided to attendees.

The workshop will include a brief discussion about freeing the limitations that identity creates. This is followed by a demonstration of the restriction of identity, projection and pride through drumming. Directed whole group rhythm illustrates how rhythm and vocal guidance releases body tension and brings conscious and unconscious mind into the body. Emploring personal rhythm The Journey shows how “Therapist identity is explored through drumming. Emotional history is expressed and released through personal rythms. By integrating emotional/psychological energy, the rhythms free identity, pride and projection of each participant resulting in Seeing instead of Looking. The worikshop concludes with the sharing of experiences which includes an overview of The Journey, decoding personal experiences and translating these experiences to the workplace.
